Central Village Park

St.Paul, MN

Central Village Park in St.Paul is nestled among a continuously developing community.

As part of the National Greater & Greener Conference in summer of 2017, this community playground was a volunteer event to transform an existing playground into a retrofitted and refreshed play space.  And did we ever!  We not only took the existing playground structure and repainted it, we added a shade structure and new components to the structure too.  We also added some new pieces to the playground container, re-painted the very large existing net structure, and put in Poured in Place surfacing.

Design Elements

Talking is Teaching panels are a wonderful addition to this playground, and are used to engage the children and caretaker in conversations about colors, shapes, etc. The Club House can be used for friends gathering or for a little snack time get away. Hot and looking for some shade while you play? The new CoolTopper is just the answer! This shade structure is built into the playground structure and provides a wide range of shade and shelter on those hot or wet days!
