The best first step is reaching out through our contact page or giving us a call. We'll set up an initial conversation to hear about your space, your community's needs, and your timeline. From there, we'll walk you through the full design-build process so you know exactly what to expect.
To put together an accurate quote, it helps to have a general sense of your site dimensions, the age range of children who will use the space, your approximate budget, and any specific features or accessibility requirements. Don't worry if you don't have everything — we can help you work through the details together.
We handle every phase in-house: initial consultation, site assessment, concept design, product selection, permitting support, installation, and post-installation inspection. You have one dedicated team from start to finish rather than coordinating between separate firms.
We primarily serve communities across Minnesota. If you're not sure whether we cover your area, just reach out and we'll let you know.
Design & Customization
Yes. Custom design is one of our core strengths. Our designers work with your site, your community's needs, and your vision to create a space that's uniquely yours — from custom themed structures to nature-inspired elements using Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC). No two Flagship playgrounds look alike.
Design timelines vary based on project complexity, but most projects move from initial consultation through final design approval in four to eight weeks. Custom or large-scale projects may take longer. We'll give you a realistic timeline at the start so you can plan accordingly.
Absolutely — and we love doing it. We've built playgrounds themed around local landmarks, natural environments, and community stories. This is one of the things that makes a playground truly memorable for the people who use it.
Yes. We design for all age ranges — toddlers, school-age children, and even multi-generational spaces where adults and children can play together. We'll make sure the equipment, layout, and surfacing are appropriate for your intended users.
Installation
Most playground installations are completed in one to three days. Larger or more complex projects may take longer. We coordinate everything — equipment delivery, site preparation, and the installation crew — so the process is as smooth as possible for your community.
We assist with the permitting process and can help you understand what's required in your municipality. Requirements vary by location and project scope, so we'll walk you through what applies to your specific project.
After installation, we conduct a full post-installation inspection to ensure everything meets safety standards. We'll walk you through the equipment, provide maintenance guidance, and make sure you feel confident about your new space before we leave.
We install year-round in Minnesota where conditions allow. We'll work with you to schedule installation at the right time for your project and make sure weather or seasonal factors are accounted for in the planning.
Products & Surfacing
We are an authorized partner of Landscape Structures Inc. — one of the most respected playground manufacturers in the country. We also carry Aquatix water play, SkyWays shade structures, ICON Shelters, Dumor site furnishings, and Bison athletic equipment.
We offer engineered wood fiber, artificial turf, and poured-in-place rubber surfacing through partners like Surface America, DuraPlay, and Sylva. Each option has different performance characteristics, maintenance requirements, and price points. We'll help you choose the right one for your space, budget, and accessibility needs.
Yes. ADA accessibility is built into our design process, not added as an afterthought. We design inclusive environments that meet or exceed ADA requirements, ensuring children of all abilities can participate fully.
Yes. We offer SkyWays & ICON shade structures, as well as Dumor benches, picnic tables, bike racks, and other site furnishings to create a complete outdoor environment. We can incorporate these into your project design from the start.
Maintenance
Yes. We offer contract maintenance programs — scheduled inspections, retrofit options, and parts — that keep your playground safe, compliant, and performing well for years.
The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) recommends routine inspections at least monthly and a comprehensive annual inspection by a Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI). Most of our team members hold CPSI certification. We can help you set up an inspection schedule that meets these guidelines.
Take the equipment out of service immediately and document what you see. Then contact us — we can assess the issue and advise on the right course of action. Don't wait on safety concerns.
Funding & Grants
Yes, there are several grant opportunities available to municipalities, schools, and nonprofits for playground and recreation projects. Sources include federal Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), state and local park improvement funds, and private foundation grants. Availability varies by project type and location.
We can point you toward relevant grant opportunities and provide project documentation, cost estimates, and letters of support that many applications require. While we don't write grant applications on your behalf, we're a strong partner in helping you build a compelling case.
Yes. We work with several cooperative purchasing contracts that allow government agencies, schools, and nonprofits to procure equipment without a full public bid process. This can significantly simplify and speed up your procurement. Reach out and we can walk you through the options that apply to your organization.
